Community Midwifery provides comprehensive women’s health care, which includes complete maternity care, well woman gynecology, family planning, and birth counseling in my office or your home.
My practice is highly specialized for the discerning woman. If you are looking for very personalized care, my practice delivers. I provide a free interview to all prospective clients to help you determine that you’ve found the care you’re looking for. Every visit is scheduled for a full hour so you’ll never feel rushed and you’ll have enough time to have all your questions answered. I provide the flexibility of having visits in your home or my office. As a result, my maternity care is designed to meet your needs and I will assist you in creating your vision and doing everything I can to help you achieve it.
I practiced obstetrical nursing for over nine years prior to becoming a midwife in 1991. Since then, I’ve been practicing midwifery in a variety of settings. Between my nursing experience and my midwifery practice, I’ve assisted in more than a thousand births.
Insurance reimbursement is available in most situations, depending on your policy and the care you’re seeking. Homebirth is covered by almost all insurance companies regardless of policy. In addition, I’m a Medicaid, GHI, and HIP provider. For those without insurance, I offer flexible payment plans and can work on a sliding scale on a financial need basis.
